Auchmithie

Great coffee and cake from Margo at the But 'n' Ben. We really need to go back for lunch sometime soon. As it was our picnic on the beach was tasty, however thoughts of fish and chips did creep in. We finally got a picture for the top of Esmé's jewellery box. Her name in pebbles will fill the space perfectly.

Tattie Holidays!!!!

At last! It feels like a long time since the summer. The leaves are yellow and the conkers are brown. Esmé now has a huge collection of the brown jewels from our favourite and secret location. The shorter days have put sunrise and sunset in easy reach for her. Hundreds of pictures but few swapped to jpeg so it's the pics. from the conker hunting trip, and inside the Birnam Oak. Also the butterfly that Esmé spotted and sent in to CBeebies.

Esmé looking for crystals

Esmé likes rocks and she took her new hammer out at the weekend. She brought back lots of agate and several geodes. We also tried our best to avoid the hundreds of ladybirds.

Dolphins

The best of the dolphin pictures from last weekend. They were very close to the shore at Scurdieness but still very difficult to photograph.

n_ilk at The Botanics

We had a great time at n_ilk at The Botaniks. Great acts enhanced by the enviromental interaction provided by the venue. The changes in light, sound and the interaction with the space even bats at one point contributed to the special feel. The only complaint we have is against the ants which have left us covered in very itchy bites.

Emé's new hat

The latest crocheted item. With felted heart detail. Isn't Gwen clever, and productive when she is stuck in the house ill.

Wildlife in the garden

Most of the tadpoles have now become froglets. It appears that there was one survivor of the first spawn, a toad, spotted at night on to ocassions. We have spotted one dragonfly so far this year and hope for more.
